Stone Bear - "Nuh yaw Yoh nah"
We
have been told by a voice to remember our Tsalagi (Cherokee) ancestors,
to pass on their ways, so they can't be forgotten. To help and serve
one another for everyone’s benefit. The less arguing, fighting, andgrudges we hold the sooner our lives, our communities, and our world
will be a better place to live". Our history is different than those
whose ancestors were removed. Remember the Treaty of New Echotaand the selling of our Tribal lands. We seek unity now for all Tribes,
Nations and Bands of Tsalagi (Cherokee), we united together are the
Ani-Yun’wi’ya, the Principal People, apart we are but lost. Remember we
are the “Keepers of the Sacred Fire”. Remembering this is a moral obligation to our future. Our
goals are specific; to gather all those who claim the right to be
recognized as Tsalagi (Cherokee) , under one tribal membership
organization. We will teach our children and grandchildren to
appreciate the sacrifices of our ancestors, to respect their many
hardships and to learn and teach our history, language and culture to
the future generations before it is lost forever.

Joseph Strider began his musical journey as a
young boy singing in a choir. At the age of nine he acquired his first
guitar. As a teen, Strider spent six years touring Texas as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist
in a rock/metal band. His growing knowledge, experience, and love of
music led him to the acoustic guitar, the instrument which would travel with him on the next leg of his musical career.
Joseph's
heritage is as much a part of who he is as his music. He is a staunch
supporter of Indigenous issues, volunteering his time and musical
talents to assist in the effort to educate society on the atrocities committed against the People of the First Nations throughout history and today. By increasing awareness of the plight of
his ancestors and their descendants, it is Joseph's hope that all
people will realize that we are all connected and that we will all live
a more enriching, satisfying life by acting from love. For more information on Joseph and his music, please click here.

Richard Lee Armstrong, Ojibwe Music Man, was born on February 4, 1943
on the Leech Lake Indian Reservation in northern Minnesota. Richard is
an enrolled member of the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe. He came from a very
musical family. Richard peeled pulp, and skidded logs with a horse and
bought his first guitar when he was ten years old. "Excuse Me Pretty Lady", was one of his hits, getting a lot of air
time. Richard had a severe heart attack in 1995, died nine times, was
in a coma for eighteen days, but miraculously came back from being
unconcious a half an hour before they were ready to pull the plug.
During this trauma, Richard heard the music and seen the light. He lost
his voice for two to three years, but as soon as he could start
singing, he danced to a different drum. Diabetes had caught up with him
and he lost all of his toes on each foot. At this point in his life he
got serious about writing and making music. Through his music he hopes
to prevent and help others from experiencing the same troubles.
Richard's music includes a blend of country, rock n' roll, and Native
American music. It is called Bougie Wougie, or Honky Tonk Jungle Music

Biography
Midian sounds like Midian. Her musical
ability
practically stumbled on, is a raw yet refined instrument. With strong
musical
influences like Etta James, Lauryn Hill, Aretha Franklin, Mary J Blige,
and
Stevie Wonder you would expect her sound to be strictly soulful R&B.
Yet
self proclaimed influences such as the Fugees, Tupac, Jayz, Biggie, and
Kanye
she has an undeniable hip hop rhetoric that even comes off as flow at
times.
Yet, Midian’s sound is clearly a cross
over vibrant
sum of rock, retro, soul, house and the aforementioned. Believe it?
Listen.
Midian is like no other. Her imprint, in record time, has resulted in an
outpouring of interest having already worked with production provided by
James
Poyser, Dre and Vidal/Don Cheegro and Dirty Harry, and Chiba Antoine.
Even
though her studio track recordings are undeniably relative, her live
performance
is flawless, like her rich musical influences.
On stage the combination is transforming
both for
audience and Midian as the artist, it feels like destiny. Unknown to
her,
ironically, was that her grandfather had been an accomplished jazz
pianist and
owned a music school and her father a guitarist. Angelic good looks and
height
drew interest from modeling agencies since she was a young girl, by this
time
she was steadfast on the scene and making appearances in magazines and
television.
Midian's music happened upon her
accidently yet it
seemed almost inevitable that Midian would eventually turn to sounds and
rhymes.
Life offered Midian opportunities most will never experience, yet music
seemed
to pull at her soul, the evidence lies deep in the lyrics of her songs.
“Stuck
between everything, and nothing, holding onto what appears to be the
realest
dream,” 'Heartbeat', Midian’s first single embodies everything that the
nature
of her purpose has lead her to, expression through sound and song. ‘Love
Won’t
Let You Leave’ and ‘Sunshine’ are soulful floetry that define love and
life and
the battles this beauty has won and lost in her time here.
Midian continues to
perfect her gift and exhaust her
talent, exploring music through her chosen path to live her “dream that
she’s
seeing, the reason she’s breathing.
